The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is an extremely capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing; learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python; and learn to interact with the world electronically.
The Raspberry Pi is capable of doing everything you’d expect a desktop computer to do, but it's size and portability mean it can also be dedicated to a specific purpose, such as running a weather station, controlling a robot, get your computer online, do some basic programming, and so much more. Each session builds on the skills, knowledge and techniques acquired from each lesson along the way. This class will launch your journey into the Raspberry Pi world and give you the skills and confidence to take on almost any project you may find or create in the future!
